How do I convert a photo?
Choose Convert HDR to SDR, select photos or files, choose JPEG or PNG, then convert. Share the result or save it to Photos. Exported files also appear in Library and Files → PhotoFix → Exports.
What files are supported?
HEIC, JPEG, PNG and device-compatible RAW photos up to 60 megapixels. Select up to 50 photos per batch. On supported devices, PhotoFix can develop RAW originals. Live Photos can retain motion and sound or export as still photos. Animated and other multi-frame images are not supported.
Why is the output less bright?
HDR can show highlights brighter than SDR. PhotoFix maps those highlights into standard 8-bit sRGB. The result may appear less bright. Original previews can display HDR on supported screens, while converted photos are SDR. Appearance can still vary between screens and apps.
Are my originals changed?
No. PhotoFix exports a separate file. JPEG uses high-quality compression and fills transparent areas with white; PNG keeps transparency. Dimensions and orientation are retained.
What does the metadata setting do?
Keep capture date & location copies existing capture date and GPS fields. Turn it off to omit them. It does not preserve every camera, editing or portrait-depth field.
Why could a photo not be imported or saved?
Download iCloud originals first. Check available storage and permission to save to Photos in iPhone Settings. A failed save to Photos does not delete the exported file from Library.
How do free conversions work?
Your first 3 successful photo conversions are free, counting each photo in a batch. Failed or unfinished photos do not use credits. Successfully exported photos remain accessible after the allowance is used.
How do I restore or cancel?
Use Settings → Restore purchases with the same Apple Account. A lifetime purchase is one-time. The monthly plan renews automatically until cancelled and can be managed through Apple Account subscription settings or PhotoFix Settings → Manage subscription.
