Convert a video

Select a video and choose the conversion goal. The current listing describes Convert HDR to SDR for a standard-color H.264 MP4 copy, frame-rate conversion and audio extraction. Export a separate copy and check its size, sound, color and destination playback before using a full batch.

My video is in iCloud

Download the original in Photos or Files first if import cannot complete. Importing large cloud videos may require a connection and local free space, even though conversion itself stays on the device.

Why does standard color look different?

HDR supports a wider brightness range. Mapping to SDR makes a standard-color copy, so it cannot reproduce every HDR highlight at the same brightness. VideoFix uses Apple’s color conversion pipeline.

Editing and frame timing

Choose the constant frame rate of your editing timeline. VideoFix repeats or drops video frames as needed while preserving audio timestamps. It cannot fix every synchronization error already present in a recording.

A file size limit failed

Try a larger limit or Automatic. Very small sizes cannot preserve usable video and audio. A failed or cancelled export does not use a free conversion.

No audio or unsupported file

Extract Audio needs an audio track. Inputs must be readable by Apple’s media frameworks. Only the first video and audio tracks are used.

Find your files

Open Library in VideoFix, or Files → On My iPhone → VideoFix → Exports. Deleting a converted copy does not delete your source.

Restore or manage access

Sign in to the same Apple Account used for purchase. In VideoFix, open Settings → Restore purchases. Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase that never renews. The monthly plan is an auto-renewable subscription with no free trial; it renews until cancelled, and subscribers can open Settings → Manage subscription to change or cancel it. Refund requests are handled by Apple.

Help for VideoFix on Mac

The following Mac-build support information is retained for existing workflows. A separate public native Mac App Store release has not been verified in the checked storefronts.

For Mac support, include your Mac model, macOS version, VideoFix version, and a description of the issue. You do not need to send private media for general help.

Use File → Open Video (Command-O), drag videos into the app, or choose files. Select Convert HDR to SDR, Change Frame Rate, or Extract Audio in the sidebar. Keep the app open until processing finishes. Results appear in Library and have Preview, Save As, Share, and Reveal in Finder actions. The default export folder is inside the app's Application Support storage; use Reveal in Finder to locate it. Settings (Command-comma) → General → Saving lets you choose another export folder.

Settings → Purchases → Unlock VideoFix shows both Pro plans, including after all three free conversions are used. Restore purchases appears in Settings → Purchases and on the paywall. For a monthly plan, use Manage subscription to open Apple account subscriptions. If prices do not load, use Retry loading prices, wait for the real price, then tap the purchase button separately. A failed or cancelled conversion does not consume a free conversion. Originals are kept.

For cloud-hosted inputs, download the file to your Mac before importing if the file cannot be read. Mac requires macOS 14 or later. Terms and Privacy are linked on the paywall and Settings → About.
