Follow these steps

  1. Open VideoFix and select the videos you want to convert together.
  2. Choose Convert HDR to SDR and set the resolution or size limit for this batch.
  3. Start the conversion and keep the app available while it processes the clips.
  4. Review the completed exports, then save or share the converted copies.

Choose a batch with the same destination

Batch processing is useful when several clips need the same output settings. For example, a set of iPhone HDR clips may all need standard SDR MP4 copies for one editor. Split clips into different batches when their destinations need different resolutions or frame rates. One preset is not necessarily the right choice for every project.

Try a representative clip first

Before starting a large batch, convert a short clip containing both bright and dark areas. Inspect its color and sound in the destination app. This is especially helpful when you are unsure whether the problem is HDR handling or something else, such as an upload-size limit.

Allow space for the exported copies

Conversion makes new files and leaves originals untouched. Leave room for those copies, particularly with long 4K footage. The final size depends on the footage and settings. Keep important originals backed up, and do not delete them based only on the completion message.

Check every result

Open each exported clip, confirm its duration and sound, and check that all selected clips produced output. Test at least one in the destination before sharing the rest. The first three conversions are free; unlimited conversions require a lifetime purchase or monthly plan.

Common questions

Does batch conversion change my originals?

No. The app exports converted copies and keeps the source videos untouched.

Will every clip shrink by the same percentage?

No. Size depends on source encoding, duration, resolution, content and export settings.
